Provisional program:
Tuesday
Spikelet bases
1)   Compare Near Eastern, European and Cypriot einkorn, emmer and new glume wheats.
Problematic
Are new glume wheat spikelets present in the Near East?  Do we have enough evidence to confirm that the new glume wheat is T. timopheevi/ T. araraticum.
2) Compare wild and domestic spikelet bases.
Problematic
Are we agreed on criteria?
Why do wild types persist alongside domestic type as mixtures?
Are the mixtures an early stage of domestication or a mixture of two populations ie. wild and domestic.

Wednesday morning and part of the afternoon
Grains
Distinguishing wild 2 grained einkorn from wild rye.
Compare wild and domestic 2 grained and wild and domestic 1 grained einkorn.

Wednesday afternoon short excursion

Thursday morning
Grains
Compare 2 grained einkorn to emmer populations from Near Eastern sites.
Compare emmer grains from different regions.
Grain size, short presentation by Sue.

Problematic
Are there mixed populations?
What can we see in terms of size changes?

Thursday afternoon
Assess regional differences and areas of confusion, reexamine material etc. discuss plans for possible joint publication.
